The Makalidurga Day Trek is the nearest railway trek to Bangalore. Makalidurga Day Trek begins with a 2-km walk on the railway track from the station of Makalidurga. One can also ride bikes to the beginning of the trekking trail as well. A lot of refreshments is advised to be carried in case one wants to trek this hillock. The hill is made of granite stone, sparking in its natural occurrence. The larger rocks have made Makalidurga popular among rock climbers. On the top stands an old fort, now in ruins. It has quite a history to it. The start of the climb is marked by a Krishna temple and you complete your darshan at the top with a temple of Shiva and Nandi. You can see the Gunjar Lake-in the shape of South America, outlined by many grasslands and manicured farms from the top. A web of railroads completes the rural landscape.

Any changes in Pick Up locations will be notified to the participants 10-12 hrs before the start of the trip.

  • If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get canceled. In such cases, we will try our best to provide an alternative feasible solution. However, a refund will not be applicable for the same.
  • Cancellations are strictly subjected to cancellation policies mentioned on the website & are irrespective of the date of booking.

  • If the minimum number of bookings is not met, we will offer an alternative trek or provide a refund.

  • Our accommodations are many times sleeping bags and Tents, Dormitories, rooms with beds and sometimes just sleeping bags under the glittering sky.
  • The average level of fitness is required to participate in the trek. We will not be responsible if any participant is unable to get to the summit due to their own limitations.
  • The food provided will be basic delicious Vegetarian food.
  • NammaTrip shall not be responsible for any of your belongings, valuables, jewelry, etc.
