Bali Pass TrekThe Bali Pass Trek is a high-altitude Himalayan adventure in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, taking trekkers through dense forests, green meadows, remote villages, rocky trails and snow-covered mountain terrain.
The journey gradually leads towards the spectacular Bali Pass at around 4,950 metres, with stunning views of Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Kala Nag and the surrounding Garhwal ranges. Along the route, trekkers also get to experience the peaceful beauty of Ruinsara Tal and the remote landscapes of the Himalayas.
With steep climbs, rugged sections and changing terrain, the trek offers an exciting challenge for adventure enthusiasts and experienced trekkers. The combination of dramatic mountain views, remote trails and the Bali Pass crossing makes this an unforgettable Himalayan expedition.

Itinerary
- Reach Sankri by around 3:00 PM and settle into this scenic Himalayan village.
- Sankri serves as the starting point for the Bali Pass adventure and is surrounded by beautiful mountain landscapes.
- The village lies approximately 195 km from Dehradun.
- Travel from Dehradun usually takes around 6–8 hours depending on the mode of transport.
- Check into the guest house or homestay and take time to relax.
- Enjoy dinner and prepare for the trekking days ahead.
- Start the morning with a road journey from Sankri to Taluka.
- After reaching Taluka, have breakfast before beginning the trek towards Seema.
- Cover nearly 12 km through thick Himalayan forests filled with chestnut, walnut, willow, chinar and conifer trees.
- The trail features several beautiful waterfalls along the route.
- Depending on the route, you may pass through Dhaatmeer village or follow the Karmanasha stream before both trails meet near Gangaar.
- Reach the Seema campsite by late afternoon and settle into your tent for the night.
- Leave Seema campsite and follow the trail towards Rainbasera at around 3,086 metres.
- Trek approximately 9 km, following the Supin River through the mountain landscape.
- Pass through Debshu Bugyal, where impressive views of Kala Nag can be seen.
- Descend across loose and sandy sections before reaching the Supin River.
- Cross the river using the bridge and continue the ascent with the water flowing beside the trail.
- Negotiate slippery and uneven sections carefully before arriving at Rainbasera.
- Spend the night at the riverside campsite.
- Begin the day's trek from Rainbasera towards the spectacular Ruinsara Tal.
- Cover around 7.5 km while gradually gaining altitude to approximately 3,565 metres.
- Follow the Supin River through a scenic Himalayan landscape.
- Reach Ruinsara Tal by afternoon and admire the lake surrounded by meadows and rhododendron vegetation.
- The trail is manageable but can feel tiring due to the altitude and terrain.
- Stay at the campsite in wooden huts and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
- Take in the views of the lake, river and surrounding Himalayan peaks.
- Depart from Ruinsara Tal and descend towards the Supin River through dense vegetation.
- Cross the river by bridge before beginning the climb towards higher terrain.
- Continue southeast through a small meadow while following the river.
- After approximately 3 km, the trail gradually turns towards the southwest.
- Trek another kilometre to reach the Odari campsite at around 4,008 metres.
- Odari is a natural rock cave traditionally associated with Bali, the brother of Hanuman.
- Enjoy striking views of Swargarohini peaks from the campsite.
- Use the afternoon for learning important techniques required for the challenging sections ahead.
- Begin the short but demanding ascent from Odari towards Bali Pass Base Camp.
- Cover around 3.25 km while climbing to approximately 4,678 metres.
- The route follows a steep mountain ridge with loose stones and a sharp incline.
- Take extra care while negotiating the rugged terrain.
- As the altitude increases, temperatures can fall below freezing at night.
- Stay hydrated and remain active while allowing sufficient time for acclimatization.
- Reach Base Camp and settle in for the night.
- Start early around 6:00 AM and prepare for the most demanding section of the trek.
- From Base Camp, ascend towards Bali Pass at approximately 4,950 metres.
- Snow-covered sections lead towards the pass, requiring careful movement and use of previously learned techniques.
- Reach Bali Pass after around 2–3 hours of ascent.
- At the top, enjoy expansive views of Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, the Garhwal ranges and the Yamunotri Valley.
- Begin the steep descent over scree, loose rocks and narrow mountain sections.
- Take a short break at Upper Dhamni before continuing towards Lower Dhamni.
- Stay close to the trek leader as some portions of the descent can be difficult to navigate.
- Begin the final trekking section early from Lower Dhamni.
- Follow the initial forest trail before joining the cemented path towards Yamunotri.
- Cover approximately 4.5 km and reach Yamunotri in around 1.5 hours.
- Spend some time exploring the sacred destination and experience the natural hot-water springs.
- Continue towards Jaan Ki Chatti along the regular pilgrim route.
- Cover approximately 5 km from Yamunotri to Jaan Ki Chatti.
- From Jaan Ki Chatti, board the vehicle for the return journey to Dehradun.
- Conclude the Bali Pass adventure with memories of the Himalayan crossing.

Terms And Conditions - Bali Pass Trek 7D/6N
- To organize a trip we need at least 10/12 participants.
- If the minimum number of bookings is not met, we will offer an alternate trip or no refund.
- We have designated pick-up and drop points; make your own transport arrangements to the desired pick-up point accordingly.
- Namma Trip is not responsible if any injuries or accidents occur during the event.
- Any client consuming alcohol, misbehaving, or causing delay during the event will be terminated from the event without any prior warning and no refund will be given. Such clients should arrange their own transport on the way back, Nammatrip does not hold responsibility of terminated clients.
- Littering, smoking & consumption of alcohol are banned outdoors or anytime during the trek. We will provide you with a time and place to enjoy your drinks.
- In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and, in such cases, we will try to provide an alternate feasible activity. However, no refund will be provided for the same.
- If we cancel the event, we offer a full refund to all the participants.

- We recommend that you arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the venue.

- 0–15 days prior: No refund; 100% of the cost will be charged.
- 15–30 days prior: 50% refund of the trek cost.
- Refunds will be processed within 5–7 working days.
- No refunds for cancellations due to unforeseen conditions or government restrictions
Important Notes - Bali Pass Trek 7D/6N
- Please contact the tour operator or driver for queries related to boarding points or vehicles.
- Arrive at your designated pick-up point at least 20 minutes before departure time.
- Kindly cooperate with the tour operator in case of delays due to unforeseen circumstances like traffic.
- Once your booking is confirmed, we will add you to a WhatsApp group on the departure date around 6 PM, where we will share all necessary updates and information related to the trek.
- If any tourist spots are closed due to strikes, weather, or other unforeseen factors, those will not be covered in the sightseeing.
