Chopta Chandrashila TrekThe Chopta Chandrashila Trek is a scenic Himalayan adventure that brings together lush forests, peaceful meadows, mountain views and a touch of spirituality. Starting from the beautiful hill region of Chopta, the journey leads through some of Uttarakhand’s most picturesque landscapes.
The trek takes you towards Tungnath Temple, situated at around 3,680 metres, before continuing to the Chandrashila summit at approximately 4,000 metres. From the top, enjoy spectacular panoramic views of prominent Himalayan peaks including Nanda Devi, Trishul, Kedar Peak, Bandarpunch and Chaukhamba.
The adventure also includes a visit to the serene Deoria Tal, surrounded by forests, greenery and Himalayan birdlife. With its moderate trails, beautiful landscapes and rewarding summit experience, this trek is an excellent choice for adventure seekers, nature lovers and photography enthusiasts.

Itinerary
- Begin the journey from Rishikesh Railway Station at 7:30 AM and drive towards Chopta.
- Cover approximately 202 km over a scenic 7–8 hour journey through the Himalayan countryside.
- Travel through Haridwar, Rishikesh, Devprayag, Rudraprayag and Sari Village.
- Witness the sacred confluence at Devprayag, where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers meet.
- Pass through Rudraprayag and enjoy the changing mountain landscapes along the route.
- Reach Chopta Camp by evening and settle into your tent for the night.
- Start the trek from Chopta towards Tungnath Temple, covering around 3.5 km in 2–3 hours.
- Continue for another 1.5 km from Tungnath to reach Chandrashila Peak.
- Reach the summit at approximately 4,130 metres, where panoramic Himalayan views await.
- Admire the majestic Nanda Devi, Trishul, Kedar Peak, Bandarpunch and Chaukhamba ranges.
- Visit Tungnath Temple, situated at approximately 3,680 metres.
- Explore the small Shiva temple located at the Chandrashila summit.
- Descend back towards Chopta before continuing the drive to Sari Village for an overnight stay.
- After breakfast, begin the trek from Sari Village towards Deoria Tal.
- Follow the rocky forest trail while gradually ascending through the Himalayan landscape.
- Pass small houses and a temple before entering the forested section of the trail.
- Enjoy views of Chandrashila and Tungnath as the forest begins to open up.
- Take a short break at Hawa Ghar, offering beautiful views of the surrounding valleys.
- Walk beneath Rhododendron and Maple forests before reaching the peaceful Deoria Tal.
- Spend some time beside the lake, surrounded by greenery and Himalayan birdlife.
- Trek back to Sari Village and begin the drive towards Rishikesh.
- Travel through Ukhimath, Rudraprayag and Devprayag, reaching Rishikesh around 8:30–9:30 PM.

Terms And Conditions - Chopta Chandrashila Trek 3D/2N
- To organize a trip we need at least 10/12 participants.
- If the minimum number of bookings is not met, we will offer an alternate trip or no refund.
- We have designated pick-up and drop points; make your own transport arrangements to the desired pick-up point accordingly.
- Namma Trip is not responsible if any injuries or accidents occur during the event.
- Any client consuming alcohol, misbehaving, or causing delay during the event will be terminated from the event without any prior warning and no refund will be given. Such clients should arrange their own transport on the way back, Nammatrip does not hold responsibility of terminated clients.
- Littering, smoking & consumption of alcohol are banned outdoors or anytime during the trek. We will provide you with a time and place to enjoy your drinks.
- In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and, in such cases, we will try to provide an alternate feasible activity. However, no refund will be provided for the same.
- If we cancel the event, we offer a full refund to all the participants.
- Our facilities are neat and basic, not luxurious
- Tickets once booked cannot be exchanged or refunded.
- We recommend that you arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the venue.
Cancellation Policy - Chopta Chandrashila Trek 3D/2N
- 0–15 days prior: No refund; 100% of the cost will be charged.
- 15–30 days prior: 50% refund of the trek cost.
- Refunds will be processed within 5–7 working days.
- No refunds for cancellations due to unforeseen conditions or government restrictions
Important Notes - Chopta Chandrashila Trek 3D/2N
- Please contact the tour operator or driver for queries related to boarding points or vehicles.
- Arrive at your designated pick-up point at least 20 minutes before departure time.
- Kindly cooperate with the tour operator in case of delays due to unforeseen circumstances like traffic.
- Once your booking is confirmed, we will add you to a WhatsApp group on the departure date around 6 PM, where we will share all necessary updates and information related to the trek.
- If any tourist spots are closed due to strikes, weather, or other unforeseen factors, those will not be covered in the sightseeing.
