About Nethravathi Trek, Chikmagalur:

Located in the Kudremukh forest range, The Nethravathi trek is among the lesser-known, yet most beautiful and adventurous tourist destinations. Traverse the verdant lush green forests of Western Ghats and you might also spot Sambar Deers, Bisons, and Bears. Start the journey from Banglore, stay in camps, savor the delicious meals, and have fun on the trek with your companions.

  • Trail Type: Grasslands, Thick Forests, Ever-Flowing streams, and steep inclinations

Itinerary for Nethravathi Trek

Day 0 - Overnight Journey to Netravathi Peak 

  • Get picked up in Bangalore

Day 1 - Begin the Netravathi Trek

  • On the first day of your Netravathi Trek, you will reach homestay around 7:00 AM
  • You will finish your breakfast and carry  a packed lunch (In your empty steel box)
  • Later reach the trek base camp through a jeep ride.
  • Around 9:00 AM, start the trek to Netravathi Peak, where you will cover a distance of 12 km (both ways).
  • You can finish your packed lunch at the peak.
  • Soak in the serene views from the peak.
  • After finishing the trek around  6:00 PM you will reach the homestay again.
  • Enjoy the bonfire  (If weather permits)
  • Savour the delicious dinner and retire for the night.

Day 2 - Sightseeing | End of Netravathi Trek

  • On Day 2, around 08:00 AM, you will finish your breakfast.
  • we can visit Samse Tea Estate.
  • Kalsa Hanging bridge.
  • Belur Chennakeshava Temple
  • Have a self-sponsored lunch and dinner on the way
  • Return to Bangalore around 11:00 PM and get back home with splendid memories,

  • The itinerary may change according to the situation, availability, and permission.
  • Management decision is the final decision
  • As it is a Group tour, all the participants must cooperate with the guide, and no individual decision will be accepted

Once you've booked your tickets, we will reach out to you and provide you with more information like exact pick-up times, exact location, coach details and more on WhatsApp.

Any changes in Pick Up locations will be notified to the participants 10-12 hrs before the start of the trip.

Things to Carry

  • Face mask and sanitizer
  • Strong backpack for trekking
  • Water bottles are at least 1-2 liters
  • Extra set of clothes (if necessary)
  • A Poly Bag to carry your wet clothes back to Bangalore
  • Sunscreen and sunglasses (optional)
  • Cap/hat
  • Toiletries: – comb, towel, soap, tissue paper, Toothbrush and other essentials etc. (if necessary)
  • Raincoat or a poncho
  • Personal medication if any
  • A torch with new batteries (can be managed by mobile light)
  • Please don’t carry these this while trekking;1) Plastic Water Bottles (refilling to non-plastic bottles is available)2) Plastic Lunch Box.
    (Carry one empty non-plastic Tiffin/Lunch Box)3) Carrying Snacks is allowed only without any plastic wrappers while trekking. ( Fill ur snacks into the box without wrappers)All these instructions applies only on first day of trekking
  • Sweaters/Jacket to bear the cold weather
  • Good trekking shoes
  • Camera/DSLR (if interested)
  • Extra cash for Personal expenses/Meals not included

NOTES

  • It’s mandatory to provide government documents for Trek Permit like voter ID, Ration Card, Driving license, PAN card, or Passport.
  • Choose a Friday Date for Saturday Trek
  • Cleanliness is our top most priority. So, please do not throw trash out anywhere in the trek place.
  • Your equipment and equipment distributed are to be carried by yourself, like bags, sticks, etc.
  • As you are exploring nature, don’t expect luxury. Washrooms are only available at the hotel campsite (you reach the hotel/campsite for breakfast).
  • You agree to indemnify yourself for the risks involved in the outings varying from destination to destination.
  • If you fail to do the Reservation we are not responsible for that. So at that point in time, you can reschedule the trek to next week or go for a different trek.
  • NammaTrip is not responsible for misplacing/loss of any personal belongings.

Cancellation Policy:

  • If cancellations are made within 0-07 days before the trip start date, no refund will be provided, and the total tour cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.
  • If cancellations are made 07-15 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellations are made within 15 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions reservations not done or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get cancelled. In such cases, we will try our best to provide an alternative feasible solution. However, a refund will not be applicable for the same.  If there is any cancellation of the trek then while doing the refund 3% payment gateway charges will be deducted.
  • Cancellations are strictly subjected to cancellation policies mentioned on the website & are irrespective of the date of booking.

Terms & Conditions:

  • Make sure to book your slots before 3 days of departure, if not, your bookings will not be accepted.
  • Age limit: 10+
  • We need a minimum of 8 participants for each trek with the official permits for us to conduct the event.
  • If Netravathi is unavailable, participants can choose from Kudremukha, Kurinjal, or Gadaikallu as alternate treks.
  • Our facilities are neat and basic, not luxurious
  • Our accommodations are many times sleeping bags and Tents, Dormitories, rooms with beds and sometimes just sleeping bags under the glittering sky.
  • The average level of fitness is required to participate in the trek. We will not be responsible if any participant is unable to get to the summit due to their own limitations.
  • The food provided will be basic delicious Vegetarian food.
  • NammaTrip shall not be responsible for any of your belongings, valuables, jewelry, etc.
  • We expect every participant to be responsible for littering. Please keep every place we visit clean.
  • You agree to indemnify yourself for the risks involved in the outings varying from destinations to destinations.
  • We have designated pick up and drop points, make your own arrangements of transports to the desired pick-up point accordingly.
  • We may revise the Terms and Conditions from time to time by updating this posting. The revised terms will take effect when they are posted.
  • Nammatrip is not responsible if any injuries or accidents occur during the event.
  • Any client consuming alcohol, misbehaving, causing delay during the event will be terminated from the event without any prior warning and no refund will be given. Such clients should arrange their own transport to the way back, Nammatrip does not hold the responsibility of terminated clients.
  • Littering, smoking & consumption of alcohol is banned outdoors or anytime during the trek. We will provide you with a time and place to enjoy your drinks.
  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be canceled and, in such cases, we will try to provide an alternate feasible activity. However, no refund will be provided for the same.
  • Namma trip can make changes in iternanry due to some restriction or wheather condition.
  • As it is group trek , every one opinion matter here to visit the replaced places.
  • we expect all passenger to support with condition and situation.
  • If we cancel the event, we offer a full refund to all the participants.
  • Cancellation / Refund is done by the third party based on their policies.
  • Tickets once booked cannot be exchanged or refunded.
  • We recommend that you arrive at least 20 minutes prior at the venue.

    The Netravathi Trek in Chikmagalur was a fantastic experience! From the start, the vibrant greenery and beautiful scenery surrounded us, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The trails were easy to follow, making it accessible for everyone, and the peaceful surroundings helped us connect with nature.

    As we climbed higher, we saw different plants and animals, which made the trek even more exciting. When we reached the viewpoint, the stunning views were truly a reward. Our guides were friendly and shared interesting stories about the area.
