Bavikonda Peak Trek Details:
Regardless of whether you’re a seasoned trekker or a novice, this trek is tailored for all. En route to the Bavikonda Kalchukki peak, you’ll traverse expansive, lush green coffee and betel nut plantations, immersing yourself in the aromatic ambiance, not just the panoramic vistas.
Ascending the hills, you’ll be embraced by dense forests. Progressing with the ridge on your left, you’ll eventually reach the summit of Bavikonda Kalchukki at an elevation of 4,645 feet. At this juncture, descending the hills and returning to the homestay is mandatory.
But wait, there’s more! A short trek to the serene and lively Somavati River, coupled with a refreshing dip in its waterfalls, is an absolute must. Exploring the coffee plantations in the Balegal region adds a fun element and helps rejuvenate after the adventures of the previous day.
Itinerary
- Overnight Journey to Bavikonda Trek Chikmagalur
- On the first day of your Bavikonda trek, you will reachthe homestay.
- After having breakfast, we will reach the base camp.
- Start the trek and reach the peak.
- En route to the peak, have lunch in the midway.
- Once we reach the top, all of us can enjoy the relishing view of the serenity the peak has to offer.
- Return to the base camp around after a trek to Bavikonda Trek.
- Enjoy the campfire. (If weather permits).
- Have the lip-smacking dinner and retire for the night.
- On Day 2, around 08:00 AM, you will grab a breakfast.
- Samse Tea Estate.
- Kalsa Hanging bridge.
- Have a self-sponsored lunch on the way back from the Bavikonda Peak Trek.
- Return to Bangalore around 11:00 PM and get back home with splendid memories.

- Kindly note that seats are unreserved, and no specific seat numbers will be provided. It's all about the early birds—arrive first and pick your spot!
- Any kind of speakers are not allowed during the trek.
- We need at least 10-12 participants for the trek to take place. If we don’t meet this number, we’ll either offer you an alternative trek or provide a reschedule.
- Our facilities are clean and basic but not luxurious. Please come prepared for a simple, nature-filled experience.
- We have designated pick-up and drop-off points. Make sure you arrange your transport to the chosen pick-up point.
- NammaTrip is not liable for any injuries or accidents that may happen during the event. Please take care while trekking.
- If anyone consumes alcohol, misbehaves, or causes delays, they will be removed from the trek without a refund. They will also have to arrange their transport back.
- If there are unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be canceled. We will try to offer an alternative, but no refunds will be given in this case.
- If you booked a ticket from a third party, refunds are handled by them and are subject to their policies. Once you book a ticket, it cannot be exchanged or refunded.
- We recommend you arrive at least 20 minutes before the scheduled time for a smooth check-in.
- Namma Trip is not responsible for any delays caused by traffic or external factors. Customers should not blame the company for such delays and must plan accordingly.
- All decisions made by NammaTrip’s management are final. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

- 0-15 Days Before the Start Date: No refund will be provided, and 100% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
- 15-30 Days Before the Start Date: 50% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation.
- Once your refund is initiated, it will be credited to your account within 5-7 working days.
- If trips or activities get canceled due to weather or government restrictions, we will try our best to offer an alternative. However, no refund will be provided in such cases.
- Cancellations are strictly subject to the cancellation policies mentioned on the website & are irrespective of the date of booking.
