Itinerary

    Day 0: Departure from Bangalore (Overnight Journey)
    Vehicle: Non-AC with push-back seats for a comfortable overnight journey.

    • Reach the homestay around 6:00 AM after an overnight journey.
    • Freshen up and enjoy a hearty breakfast.
    • Pack your lunch in your empty steel box to carry for the trek.
    • Around 9:00 AM, begin the trek to Meruthi Gudda, the scenic peak near Agumbe.
    • The trek covers approximately 12 km (round trip) through dense forests, grasslands, and panoramic viewpoints.
    • Enjoy your packed lunch at the summit while soaking in breathtaking views of the Western Ghats.
    • Descend and return to the homestay by 6:00 PM.
    • Relax and enjoy a bonfire (if weather permits).
    • Savor a delicious dinner and retire for the night.

    Visit Hornadu Temple – A famous hilltop temple dedicated to Goddess Annapoorneshwari, offering spiritual vibes and scenic surroundings..

Terms And Conditions - Meruthi Gudda Trek from Bangalore

  • To organise a trek, we need at least 10/12 participants.
  • If the minimum number of bookings is not met, we will offer an alternative trek or reschedule.
  • Make sure to book your slots 3 days before departure; if not, your bookings will not be accepted.
  • Age limit: 10+
  • We need a minimum of 8 participants for each trek with the official permits for us to conduct the event.
  • If Netravathi is unavailable, participants can choose from Kudremukha, Kurinjal, or Gadaikallu as alternate treks.
  • MANAGEMENT DECISION IS A FINAL DECISION.
  • Our facilities are neat and basic, not luxurious
  • Our accommodations are many times sleeping bags and Tents, Dormitories, rooms with beds and sometimes just sleeping bags under the glittering sky.

Cancellation Policy - Meruthi Gudda Trek from Bangalore

  • 0-15 Days Before the Start Date: No refund will be provided, and 100% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • 15-30 Days Before the Start Date: 50% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation.
  • Once your refund is initiated, it will be credited to your account within 5-7 working days.
  • If trips or activities get canceled due to weather or government restrictions, we will try our best to offer an alternative. However, no refund will be provided in such cases.
  • In case of trip cancellations due to weather conditions, forest permit issues, or other unforeseen circumstances, a 3% deduction will be applied to the refund amount. This is to cover payment gateway and processing charges.

  • Please note that during our treks, we are required to follow all rules and regulations set by local authorities and forest departments. In case of any unforeseen restrictions, route changes, or access limitations imposed by these departments, we request your kind cooperation and understanding.

    Your safety and the preservation of nature are our top priorities, and we may need to adjust the itinerary accordingly.

  • Once your booking is confirmed, we will add you to a WhatsApp group on the departure date around 6 PM, where we will share all necessary updates and information related to the trek.
  • Kindly ensure your slot is booked before every Wednesday.
  •  Please carry the original ID proof (same as the one submitted for the trek permit) – it is mandatory for verification at the forest checkpoint.
  • Please note that the itinerary inter changed in case of permit issues or other unforeseen circumstances. Day 1 might include sightseeing, and trekking will be shifted to Day 2. Additionally, the return to Bangalore could be delayed due to such adjustments. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
  • Please make sure to check slot availability with our team before confirming your booking. This will help avoid any last-minute issues.

FAQ's

The trek is moderate, suitable for beginners with basic fitness as well as experienced trekkers.

Essentials include a steel lunch box, water bottle, comfortable trekking shoes, light backpack, hat, sunscreen, raincoat (if in monsoon), and basic first aid.

The trek is best for teenagers and adults. Children above 12 with prior trekking experience can join; elderly participants should assess their fitness level.

Breakfast and dinner are provided at the homestay. Lunch is packed by participants. Carry sufficient water for the trek.
