Itinerary
Depart from Bangalore
- Arrive at McLeod Ganj and check in at the designated base accommodation.
- Take the day at a relaxed pace to rest and allow your body to adjust to the altitude.
- Spend some time exploring the nearby surroundings with light activity, avoiding strenuous exertion.
- Meet the trek leader and support team for a detailed briefing about the route and upcoming adventure.
- Learn about the trek schedule, terrain, safety guidelines, and essential preparations.
- Use the evening to organize your backpack and trekking essentials.
- Rest well at the base camp and get ready for the exciting Moon Peak Trek ahead.
Settle In & Prepare for the Trek
- After breakfast, begin the trek from McLeod Ganj towards Triund Top, following a scenic mountain trail.
- Walk through beautiful oak, pine, and rhododendron forests, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the Dhauladhar foothills.
- As you gain altitude, the forest gradually opens up to reveal spectacular views of the Dhauladhar range and Kangra Valley.
- Continue along the well-defined trail, with a few gradual and steeper sections along the way.
- After approximately 5–6 hours of trekking, reach Triund Top and take a well-deserved break.
- Enjoy lunch at the campsite while taking in the magnificent mountain scenery.
- Set up your tents and spend the evening relaxing amidst the vast Himalayan landscape.
- End the day by witnessing a beautiful sunset over the Dhauladhar mountains before dinner and an overnight stay at Triund.
Trek Through the Forests to Triund
- After breakfast, leave Triund Top and begin the trek towards the high-altitude Lahesh Cave at around 3,500 m.
- Follow a more challenging trail featuring steep climbs, rocky sections, and narrow mountain paths.
- Pass through the beautiful Snowline Café area and take a short break while enjoying the surrounding landscapes.
- Continue ascending through the rugged terrain, with panoramic views of the Dhauladhar range and surrounding valleys along the way.
- After approximately 4–5 hours of trekking, reach Lahesh Cave, a striking natural landmark surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery.
- Set up camp near Lahesh Cave and relax after the demanding ascent.
- Enjoy a warm meal, take in the peaceful high-altitude surroundings, and rest well for the next day's adventure.
Ascend Towards Lahesh Cave
- Start early after breakfast for the most challenging and exciting day of the trek.
- Begin the ascent towards Moon Peak at approximately 4,380 m, navigating steep climbs and rugged mountain terrain.
- The trail becomes more demanding with rocky sections, narrow paths, and steep ascents and descents, especially during the final stretch.
- Tackle the challenging final few hundred metres with careful footing and support from the trek team.
- Reach the summit of Moon Peak and celebrate the achievement while taking in breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Dhauladhar landscape.
- Spend some time at the summit, capture memorable moments, and enjoy the spectacular high-altitude scenery.
- Begin the descent back towards Llaqa Got, following the same rugged trail.
- Cover approximately 10–12 km in around 10 hours, making this the most demanding day of the trek.
- Arrive at Llaqa Got, relax at the campsite, enjoy dinner, and rest well after an unforgettable summit day.
Summit Moon Peak – 4,380 m
- Start the morning with breakfast at Llaqa Got and prepare for the final trekking section.
- Begin the descent towards McLeod Ganj, following the familiar mountain trail through scenic Himalayan surroundings.
- Enjoy the changing landscapes as you gradually lose altitude and the trail becomes easier to navigate.
- Complete the trek in approximately 5–6 hours, taking breaks along the way to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
- Arrive in McLeod Ganj and complete the trekking journey.
- Take a moment to celebrate the successful completion of the Moon Peak Trek with your trek leader and fellow trekkers.
- Bid farewell to the trek leader and support team before beginning your onward journey.
- Depart with unforgettable memories of the Dhauladhar mountains and Moon Peak adventure.

Terms And Conditions - Moon Peak Trek 5D/4N
- To organize a trip we need at least 10/12 participants.
- If the minimum number of bookings is not met, we will offer an alternate trip or no refund.
- We have designated pick-up and drop points, make your own arrangements of transport to the desired pick-up point accordingly.
- Namma Trip is not responsible if any injuries or accidents occur during the event.
- Any client consuming alcohol, misbehaving, or causing delay during the event will be terminated from the event without any prior warning and no refund will be given. Such clients should arrange their own transport on the way back, Nammatrip does not hold the responsibility of terminated clients.
- Littering, smoking & consumption of alcohol are banned outdoors or anytime during the trek. We will provide you with a time and place to enjoy your drinks.
- In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and, in such cases, we will try to provide an alternate feasible activity. However, no refund will be provided for the same.
- If we cancel the event, we offer a full refund to all the participants.

- Tickets once booked cannot be exchanged or refunded.
- We recommend that you arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the venue.

- 0–15 days prior: No refund; 100% of the cost will be charged.
- 15–30 days prior: 50% refund of the trek cost.
- Refunds will be processed within 5–7 working days.
- No refunds for cancellations due to unforeseen conditions or government restrictions

- Please contact the tour operator or driver for queries related to boarding points or vehicles.
- Arrive at your designated pick-up point at least 20 minutes before departure time.
- Kindly cooperate with the tour operator in case of delays due to unforeseen circumstances like traffic.
- Once your booking is confirmed, we will add you to a WhatsApp group on the departure date around 6 PM, where we will share all necessary updates and information related to the trek.
- If any tourist spots are closed due to strikes, weather, or other unforeseen factors, those will not be covered in the sightseeing.
