Itinerary
Depart from Bangalore
- Begin your journey from Leh towards the spectacular Nubra Valley, passing through some of Ladakh’s most dramatic mountain landscapes.
- Cross Khardung La, one of the highest motorable mountain passes, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges.
- Continue towards Nubra Valley, with scenic views of rugged mountains, Saser Peak, and the vast valley landscapes.
- Visit Sumur Monastery and experience the peaceful atmosphere and rich Buddhist heritage of the region.
- Proceed towards Disket and explore the historic Disket Monastery, famous for its impressive Maitreya Buddha statue overlooking the valley.
- Continue to Hundar, known for its unique desert landscape and traditional Ladakhi surroundings.
- Visit Hundar Monastery and spend some time exploring the tranquil surroundings.
- Return to the campsite in Hundar, relax after the journey, and enjoy a peaceful evening in the Nubra Valley.
- Overnight stay at Hundar.
Cross Khardung La and Explore the Nubra Region
- Begin the trek from Hundar and follow the trail alongside the gentle flow of the Hundar River through the narrow valley.
- Gradually ascend through a winding mountain trail, enjoying changing views of the rugged Nubra landscape.
- Pass through remote settlements and green cultivated fields, offering a glimpse into the traditional lifestyle of the valley.
- Continue towards Wachan, a quiet mountain village surrounded by beautiful Himalayan terrain.
- Reach Wachan and settle into the campsite near the village fields.
- Relax and unwind after the day's trek, taking in the peaceful surroundings.
- Overnight camping at Wachan.
Trek Along the Hundar River to Wachan
- Leave Wachan in the morning and begin the trek towards Sarathang, with approximately 6–7 hours of walking ahead.
- Follow the gradually rising trail and cross the Hunda River over a bridge while enjoying the surrounding mountain scenery.
- Pass traditional Hundar dok huts along the route, offering a glimpse into the region's traditional pastoral lifestyle.
- Walk through open grazing areas where sheep, yaks, and goats can often be seen roaming across the landscape.
- Continue along the mountain trail towards Sarathang, taking in the peaceful surroundings and expansive valley views.
- Arrive at Sarathang and set up camp, then relax and recover after the day's trek.
- Enjoy a quiet evening surrounded by the Himalayan wilderness.
- Overnight camping at Sarathang.
Trek Through Remote Valleys to Sarathang
- Start the day after breakfast and follow the ascending trail from Sarathang towards the glacier.
- Tackle the rugged rocky terrain and steep sections as the trail gradually climbs towards the high-altitude Lasarmola Pass.
- Reach Lasarmola Pass at 5,330 metres, one of the most challenging sections of the trek, and take in the spectacular mountain panorama.
- Continue towards the glacier and enjoy dramatic views of the surrounding peaks, including the majestic Stok Kangri massif.
- Begin the long descent towards Muru Dok, following the trail through remote and rugged Himalayan terrain.
- Reach Muru Dok, a scenic campsite located between two pristine rivers.
- Set up camp and relax after the demanding day's trek while enjoying the untouched wilderness.
- Overnight camping at Muru Dok.
Cross Lasarmola Pass at 5,330 m
- Leave Muru Dok and follow the scenic trail through the Markha Valley, with around 5–6 hours of trekking ahead.
- Pass historic remains and traditional stone mills, along with the striking Techa Monastery perched dramatically on the mountainside.
- Cross several mountain streams as the trail winds deeper into the remote valley.
- Continue beyond Umlung village and catch your first impressive views of Mount Kang Yatse, which remains a striking presence along the route towards Kongmaru La.
- Reach Hangkar, the last village of the Markha Valley, and take a well-earned lunch break while enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
- Resume the trek towards Thachungtse, walking through the rugged yet beautiful high-altitude landscape.
- Arrive at Thachungtse and set up camp, then relax and recover after the day's trek.
- Overnight camping at Thachungtse.
Trek Through the Markha Valley
- Begin the final day's trek from Thachungtse, following the river trail before crossing the waterway at a suitable point.
- Gradually climb towards Gyamtsa La, reaching an altitude of approximately 4,200 metres.
- Take a moment at the pass to admire the sweeping views of the surrounding valleys and rugged Himalayan mountains.
- Descend from Gyamtsa La through the scenic mountain terrain, following the trail towards Gyamtsa.
- Reach Gyamtsa and continue the onward journey to Leh, bringing the trekking expedition to an end.
- Arrive in Leh and unwind after the challenging adventure, carrying unforgettable memories of the Nubra Valley and Ladakh Himalayas.

Terms And Conditions - Nubra valley Trek 6D/5N
- To organize a trip we need at least 10/12 participants.
- If the minimum number of bookings is not met, we will offer an alternate trip or no refund.
- We have designated pick-up and drop points, make your own arrangements of transport to the desired pick-up point accordingly.
- Namma Trip is not responsible if any injuries or accidents occur during the event.
- Any client consuming alcohol, misbehaving, or causing delay during the event will be terminated from the event without any prior warning and no refund will be given. Such clients should arrange their own transport on the way back, Nammatrip does not hold the responsibility of terminated clients.
- Littering, smoking & consumption of alcohol are banned outdoors or anytime during the trek. We will provide you with a time and place to enjoy your drinks.
- In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and, in such cases, we will try to provide an alternate feasible activity. However, no refund will be provided for the same.
- If we cancel the event, we offer a full refund to all the participants.
- Our facilities are neat and basic, not luxurious
- Tickets once booked cannot be exchanged or refunded.
- We recommend that you arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the venue.

- 0–15 days prior: No refund; 100% of the cost will be charged.
- 15–30 days prior: 50% refund of the trek cost.
- Refunds will be processed within 5–7 working days.
- No refunds for cancellations due to unforeseen conditions or government restrictions
Important Notes - Nubra valley Trek 6D/5N
- Please contact the tour operator or driver for queries related to boarding points or vehicles.
- Arrive at your designated pick-up point at least 20 minutes before departure time.
- Kindly cooperate with the tour operator in case of delays due to unforeseen circumstances like traffic.
- Once your booking is confirmed, we will add you to a WhatsApp group on the departure date around 6 PM, where we will share all necessary updates and information related to the trek.
- If any tourist spots are closed due to strikes, weather, or other unforeseen factors, those will not be covered in the sightseeing.
