Welcome to Munnar Backpacking Tour, the “Kashmir of the South,” an enchanting hill station cradled amidst the magnificent Western Ghats in the verdant state of Kerala, India. Itinerary about Munnar Backpacking Tour

Day 0: Departure from Bangalore

  • 9:00 PM: Begin your overnight journey from Bangalore to Munnar.

 

Day 1: Arrival and Exploration in Munnar

  • 10:00 AM: Arrive in Munnar, freshen up, and enjoy breakfast.
  • 11:00 AM: Depart for Mankulam, traveling through the scenic Letchmi Estate.
  • 1:00 PM: Lunch at Mankulam.
  • 2:00 PM: Relax and enjoy a swim at a hidden natural pool in the forest.
  • 3:30 PM: Embark on an extreme off-road jeep safari to the campsite, stopping at various scenic viewpoints along the way.
  • 5:00 PM: Arrive at the campsite for tea and snacks.
  • 5:30 PM: Unwind, explore, and soak in the natural beauty around the campsite.
  • 7:30 PM: Enjoy a homemade dinner.
  • 8:30 PM: Campfire with music – a perfect evening under the stars.
  • 10:00 PM: Retire for the night.

 

Day 2: Morning Adventure & Munnar Exploration

  • 6:30 AM: Begin an early morning trek through the dense forest.
  • 8:30 AM: Return to the campsite for breakfast.
  • 9:30 AM: Head out to Ripple Falls for waterfall views.
    • Optional: Try the thrilling zipline adventure at Ripple Falls.
  • 12:30 PM: Lunch in Munnar town.
  • 1:30 PM: Begin the journey back to Bangalore.
  • 9:00 PM: Arrive back in Bangalore, bringing cherished memories of Munnar.

  • Comfortable and hygienic vehicle (Tempo Traveler for Group Departures) for sightseeing on all days as per the itinerary.
  • Buffet Breakfast on Day 1 & Day 2 Buffet Dinner on Day 1.

Once you’ve booked your tickets, we will reach out to you and provide you with more information like exact pick-up times, exact location, coach details and more on WhatsApp.

Any changes in Pick Up locations will be notified to the participants 10-12 hrs before the start of the trip.

Things to carry

  • Strong backpack for trekking
  • Water bottles are at least 1-2 liters
  • Extra set of clothes (if necessary)
  • A Poly Bag to carry your wet clothes back to Bangalore
  • Sunscreen and sunglasses (optional)
  • Cap/hat
  • Toiletries: – comb, towel, soap, tissue paper, Toothbrush and other essentials etc. (if necessary)
  • Raincoat or a poncho
  • Personal medication if any
  • A torch with new batteries (can be managed by mobile light)
  • Please don’t carry these this while trekking;1) Plastic Water Bottles (refilling to non-plastic bottles is available)2) Plastic Lunch Box.
    (Carry one empty non-plastic Tiffin/Lunch Box)3) Carrying Snacks is allowed only without any plastic wrappers while trekking. ( Fill ur snacks into the box without wrappers)All these instructions applies only on first day of trekking

Notes

  • Cleanliness is Our top most priority.Please do not throw trash out anywhere in the open.
  • Your equipment and equipment distributed are to be carried by self, like bags, sticks, etc.
  • As you are exploring nature, don’t expect luxury. Washrooms are only available at the hotel campsite (you reach the hotel/campsite for breakfast).
  • You agree to indemnify yourself for the risks involved in the outings varying from destinations to destinations.
  • NammaTrip is not responsible for misplacing/loss of any personal belongings.

Cancellation Policy

  • 0-15 Days Before Start Date: No refund will be provided; 100% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • 15-30 Days Before Start Date: 50% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • Once your refund is initiated, it will be credited to your account within 5-7 working days.
  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get canceled. In such cases, we will try our best to provide an alternative feasible solution. However, a refund will not be applicable for the same.
  • Cancellations are strictly subjected to cancellation policies mentioned on the website & are irrespective of the date of booking.

Terms and Conditions

  • To organize a trek we need at least 10/12 participants.
    If the minimum number of bookings is not met, we will offer an alternative trek or provide a refund.
  • Age limit: 10+
  • Our facilities are neat and basic, not luxurious
  • Our accommodations are many times sleeping bags and Tents, Dormitories, rooms with beds and sometimes just sleeping bags under the glittering sky.
  • The average level of fitness is required to participate in the trek. We will not be responsible if any participant is unable to get to the summit due to their own limitations.
  • The food provided will be basic delicious Vegetarian food.
  • NammaTrip shall not be responsible for any of your belongings, valuables, jewelry, etc.
  • We expect every participant to be responsible for littering. Please keep every place we visit clean.
  • You agree to indemnify yourself for the risks involved in the outings varying from destinations to destinations.
  • We have designated pick up and drop points, make your own arrangements of transports to the desired pick-up point accordingly.
  • We may revise the Terms and Conditions from time to time by updating this posting. The revised terms will take effect when they are posted.
  • Nammatrip is not responsible if any injuries or accidents occur during the event.
  • Any client consuming alcohol, misbehaving, causing delay during the event will be terminated from the event without any prior warning and no refund will be given. Such clients should arrange their own transport to the way back, Nammatrip does not hold the responsibility of terminated clients.
  • Littering, smoking & consumption of alcohol is banned outdoors or anytime during the trek. We will provide you with a time and place to enjoy your drinks.
  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be canceled and, in such cases, we will try to provide an alternate feasible activity. However, no refund will be provided for the same.
  • If we cancel the event, we offer a full refund to all the participants.
  • Cancellation / Refund is done by the third party based on their policies.
  • Tickets once booked cannot be exchanged or refunded.
  • We recommend that you arrive at least 20 minutes prior at the venue.
