Itinerary

Day 1

  • Overnight Journey | Kurinjal Peak Trek
  • On Friday, Get picked up in Bangalore from the following points and start your Kurinjal trekking tour.
  • Begin your overnight journey toKurinjal.
  • On the first day of your  Kurinjal trek, you will reach around 07:00 AM.
  • After having breakfast, we will reach the base camp.
  • By 08:00 AM, we will start trekking to the top of Kurinjal Peak which is around 14 KM including both the ways.
  • En route to the peak, have lunch in the midway.
  • Once we reach the top, all of us can enjoy the relishing view of the serenity the peak has to offer.
  • Return to the base camp around 06:00 PM after a trek.
  • Enjoy the bonfire.
  • Have the lip-smacking dinner and retire for the night.

Day 2

  • Sightseeing | End of Trek
  • On Day 2, around 09:00 AM, you will grab a breakfast.
  • Visit Belur Temple, Near By sightseeing offered By Guides
  • Enjoy the mesmerizing beauty of the Samse tea estate.
  • Have a self-sponsored lunch on the way back
  • Return to Bangalore around 11:00 PM and get back home with splendid memories,

Once you’ve booked your tickets, we will reach out to you and provide you with more information like exact pick-up times, exact location, coach details and more on WhatsApp.

Any changes in Pick Up locations will be notified to the participants 10-12 hrs before the start of the trip.

  • Cleanliness is Our top most priority.Please do not throw trash out anywhere in the open.

Cancellation Policy:

  • If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get canceled. In such cases, we will try our best to provide an alternative feasible solution. However, a refund will not be applicable for the same.

  • The average level of fitness is required to participate in the trek. We will not be responsible if any participant is unable to get to the summit due to their own limitations.
  • The food provided will be basic delicious Vegetarian food.
  • NammaTrip shall not be responsible for any of your belongings, valuables, jewelry, etc.
  • We expect every participant to be responsible for littering. Please keep every place we visit clean.
  • You agree to indemnify yourself for the risks involved in the outings varying from destinations to destinations.
  • We have designated pick up and drop points, make your own arrangements of transports to the desired pick-up point accordingly.

  • Any client consuming alcohol, misbehaving, causing delay during the event will be terminated from the event without any prior warning and no refund will be given. Such clients should arrange their own transport to the way back, Nammatrip does not hold the responsibility of terminated clients.
  • Littering, smoking & consumption of alcohol is banned outdoors or anytime during the trek. We will provide you with a time and place to enjoy your drinks.

1.Which is the best time to visit Kudremukh?

Monsoons are from June to September and are accompanied by heavy showers. Although, the region experiences heavy rain, the climate is pleasant and good for witnessing the best of nature. Summers in the region start in March and last till May. It is the best time to visit Kudremukh for those having passion for trekking.

 

2. Can beginners do Kudremukh Trek?

You would trek up to the hills to view sunrise and also trek near the streams and waterfalls and other areas. The trek gradient, trail, and difficulty is quite easy to moderate and even the beginners can go for it. You will cross a lot of waterfalls in the Kudremukh trek.

 

3. Why is Kudremukh famous?

Legend and wild beauty, Kudremukh is known to have one of the largest deposits of Iron ore in the world. The Geologist, Sampath Iyengar’s discovery of Iron ore at Kudremukh – part of Ayomukh range – has been traced by Scholars to Sugreeva’s legendary reference to the mountain peak.

4. How long does it take to trek Kudremukh?

Best time of the day to do the Kudremukh trek
You need 4-5 hours to reach the peak and again 2 and a half hours to return. There is a restriction from the forest office that you can not trek after 6 PM.

5. Why is Kudremukh called Kudremukh?

Kudremukh in Kannada means the “Face of the Horse”. It seems one of the peaks in the Sahyadri range is of the shape of the ‘Chess Knight’. That is why it got the name Kudremukh.
